Contest Vectorize logo and small improve - 50USD [72 hours]

I'm looking for a vector of a existing logo and small adjustments to it. Keep in mind this is a image with some years and recognition on market so we don't want to change it much.

Contest:
* Vectorize the red part (CLÁSSICOS with gear in place of 'O'). You can change small details to improve it.
* Change the "Portal dos" part to a non serif letter keeping the same line. Winner must inform what the font used.

Final artwork must include 2 variations:
1. Logo in a horizontal position (as the current).
2. Logo less long, with "Portal dos" above and "CLÁSSICOS" (with gear in place of 'O') below.

Remember
* Be careful with borders, must work at dark and white backgrounds, changing the black letters to white.
* The image must be vector based as it will be used for everything from business cards to gifts. The logo will also be embroidered on work shirts, so please keep that in mind with your designs.
* Do not flood the competition with many proposals. Give your best with one, max. two concepts, we will give feedback and ask to change what is less well.

Fine print:

* Winner must agree to transfer full copyright to "Portal dos Clássicos", for unrestricted future use, royalty free. (in written form)
* Please do not incorporate any graphic elements for which you do not hold the copyright.
* Please, no stolen or purchased designs. Original work desired by skilled artists.
* No clipart or stock; design must be original.
* Logo need to be professional and sleek rather than clever or cute.


Feedback will be given and all entries must be in by end of July 20th (GMT). If we don't like any of your ideas, we will NOT choose a winner but I try to get this work done here at digitalpoint. Winner will be awarded $50 via PayPal.

Dakouten - Gear is too big and letters are very close together which makes reading difficult. Globally is not appealing.

gipanuhotko - Simple and nice. Like the gear but something is lacking to make a difference with the current logo. Unfortunately I do not know what ... let's wait a little and see what comes up!

DezignAuthority - Good concept, modern and clean but shadows can create problems in printing, it will require many colors. Maybe you can show a version without them. How it works on dark backgrounds?

availpranav - Don't like anything in this logo. Sorry.

megaxx - There are good creative Portuguese here in DP after all we are a nation of creators and discoverers. I've had the pleasure of working with some. I await your input!

 

With regards to the shadow, I think you mean the gradient because I did not put any shadow of the design. With regards to the colors the design is just using Red, Black and Gray which needs Black and Red color when printing.

 

*No clipart or stock; design must be original.

 

Can the logo be delivered in a .psd? Because I'm a 0 in illustrator. I only do my works with the pen tool so it should be resizable without losing quality. Thanks

 

@megaxx If you have an Illustrator you can export your paths from Photoshop and just import them in Illustrator. But you still need to redo it in Illustrator. It just saves you the time to recreate your paths again.

So I can just save in .psd, open it up in illustrator and save in a vector file?

 

@megaxx, Np There are two ways i know. you could file -> export -> Path to illustrator or You can select your path from photoshop and paste it directly to illustrator. good luck!
