Hello All! I usually just focus on helping folks out in the site reviews and with SEO advice (as that's what I know best), but I needed to ask a favor in return. I have been working on trying to improve my vector drawing abilities. I have tried posting about this on the Adobe forums but didn't feel I got much good advice from folks over there. Has anyone got any good suggestions about particularly useful vector drawing tools or tablets? I currently just use the trackpad on my mac book (and here are some of my designs: http://crockstarlimited.com/blog/about/). Has anyone got any advice on how I can improve these drawings and/or any suggestions for what the best tablets are for this sort of vector drawing?
Do you own any vector software? Adobe illustrator is arguably the best out there. My best advice would be to draw your shapes and objects by hand, and then scan them in and trace the objects. This will allow you to get comfortable with the vector pen tool and give you great reference for how you want your drawings to look at the same time
I would suggest using a wacom tablet preferable maybe a bamboo tablet version. I use this, and the results are fantastic. If you want a cheap one, graphity only costs around 80 dollars! Also, great work! Looking forward to seeing more vectors from you!
