Hi I've searched but didn't really find the answers I was looking for. So I'll ask them here. If I add it to my paypal, will it be verified for ever or will it become unverified after 3 months(when card expires). When adding it do I have to give them any extra information like driver license or something? Where can I buy them over the internet with paypal? Anything else I should know? Thanks in advance
As far as I know,There is no need to verify ur paypal Twice....Just add VCC to ur paypal,Then add 4 digital number..That's all
Do you have to give any other information to paypal? + what if I add the credit card of my dad to it, will my balance be seperated?
If you and your dad shares the same name, you probably can bend the rules and use his card but not if the name is not the same. Just be prepared because sometimes Paypal would ask for your credit card statement some time in the future for their ongoing verification.
what do you mean the same name, first & lastname? + what do you mean with card statement, expired not expired? so if he adds it, will the balance be seperated?
When I mentioned Same name, I am referring to your full name must match that of your dad if you want to use his credit card to verify your account. Or else you will be telling Paypal that your dad is you. It can amount to identity theft in some country. Would you be able to use your dad's passport to travel and claim that the one in the picture is you ? Because that is what you are planning to do. If your dad has his own paypal account then his balance will be separate from yours. One Paypal account will have one balance no matter how many bank accounts or credit cards you add to it. The purpose of Paypal verification is not to go through some needless processes but as required by law, they need to know their customer and to certify that you are who you claim to be, are financially sound and are above the age of 18 as required. They do so by requiring you to submit a bank issued credit card for verification. The reason is that banks would do all the necessary checks on your identity, creditworthiness and that you are not a minor and paypal does not want to trouble you too much by taking advantage of the bank's verification process. At the same time since you need a credit card to make purchases through paypal, it should not be too much of an inconvenience to you. If you are using a VCC, you are effectively making a mockery of the verification process by lying about your identity. Most of the VCC which are being sold are offered illegally as the seller tried to make a few bucks by using their bank issued VCC which are supposed to be for their own usage and not to be resold. By using the VCC, you are telling Paypal that you are the seller. If you value your paypal account then do it above-board and not against any rules or else how could paypal and your customer ever trust you if your account was created by deception. If you do not have a credit card then do not sign up for a paypal account. It is just not worth it.
If you verify your account with a VCC, you won't have to add another one in 3 months. That account will stay verified even after the card expires.
Mmh thanks for your replies, I think I just stay unverified until I have my credit card. If I want to buy something if verified is needed I'll ask my dad or a friend and just send them the money.
VCC works for PayPal verification but after about 3 months it expires so you'll have to purchase another VCC to release the limits. However the verified state will stay remain.
I get that but I don't really trust it because if they ask for id, the card is not really mine because it has no name or anything on it so wouldn't this get me into trouble?
Yes if the card is not yours its always not a good idea to use it for paypal verification. Another thing is you have to place a number that comes with the credit card monthly statement.
