A Question about the installation of Vbulliten forums

With the VBulliten forum software (ie this forum one) It states just 1 installation is required per order+ licence.

But whats stopping people purchasing this single licenced one, and installing it on 3-4 websites

(as i know somebody who from another forum who has installed it more than once, with just 1 licence, and it is fine- I am also working on a sub forum niche)

Is there a script or somthing which Stops multiple installs? or tells the Vbulliten team that the it has been installed many times?

how can they stop this? or do vbulliten have little control over this?

They only allow one installation per license. You can also have a test forum if it's hidden.

You can have 2 installs of vbulletin:

    1 - public forum

2 - private forum that the public can not access - this is your test forum. You can change the forum permissions so that guest can not see the forum, and do not allow people to register. Or, you can create an htpasswd file and put it in your forum root directory. That way people would have to enter a password to see the forum.
