    There are, however vB is the standard for forums, and most large forums use it, such as this one, ubuntuforums, etc.

    vB is the best forum out there. I recommend it if you're running a professional site or plan to have a bazillion posts.

    For something simplier go with a free one if you like, but vB is awesome.

    can anyone recommend the free and better forum? is phpbb the free & best available we can get? phpbb too easily get spam as far as i know....pls comment
