vBulletin v. MyBB?

Since a lot of you will have used vBulletin or MyBB, I just want to know what you think you would use.

Why of course vBulletin Once you go with vB, you'll NEVER Look back, unless of course they have another pre-sale event for vB5 .

Mybb and phpbb is best of the best (Fast + SEO + OS)

 

I used VB and I switched to MyBB. It's a vast improvement for my forums. VB has a large list of problems.

 

I would have to say vBulletin is good for Gaming and Warez forums...

But when it comes to internet marketing and SEO i say MYBB...

 

Mybb because its just as good but free

#1 hacker site is mybb

Sometimes I think what makes a genre use a software more often is clones. Examples are all the wannabe DP forums that get started. Most use VB from what I see. I know that for hacker forums I see lots of clones of HF using MyBB. I'd say that a lot of gaming forums use phpbb simply because of gaiaonline.

 

I'm a long time user of IPB and vBulletin.

Recently myBB convinced me to seriously deploy it on new forums. Besides being free, the interface is cool and you can work with it quite easily. No more hassles with licenses or the like ever again.

 

I like vB3.8.4 for it's elegance and simplicity.
vB4 is absolute shit.

MyBB is good

 

At least this poll is finally sensical. Too often it involves phpbb and smf. To me they are not even close to being in the same category of MyBB.

 

I have to admit that I am biased towards vbulletin because I have seen nothing but growth of my communities from them, and it is the only software I really ever used because I know how to customize it to my liking.

However I am disappointed by the release of vb4. vbulletin should mainly stick to forum basics, and the other unnecessary hacks such as the cms, blogs, articles can be addons.

 

Yes, I know what you mean. I also hate the new upgrade of IPB because of the same reasons that make it so unusable for everyday talks.

That's why I'm now more happy in using myBB.

Vbulletin is the best, mybb is good though not better.

 

i think mybb is better especially considerin the cost $0 allows your forum to grow. I hate the new style of VB think it sucks!!!

 

i mean hell cant even use the search feature on vb.

vBulletin's forums have its share of problems. My best forums actually have been running under MyBB, and not vBulletin or even IPB.

 

Mybb is the best. Its free and user friendly.
