Hi, On my forum ive set the sig limits to 500x100 pixels and 10000bytes. But some of my members have a sig thats 50000 bytes and over 750x100 pixels. How can they over-ride this ?? Ive set the above settings for all users
These are signature images? Where did you set the size restrictions at? Signature Image permissions are set here: VBulletin control panel - left column - user groups - user group manager - registered users - edit usergroup - Picture Uploading Permissions Signature Image Maximum Width (pixels) Signature Image Maximum Height (pixels) Signature Image Maximum Filesize (bytes) There is a modification to limit the size of external images that are used for signatures - http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=137167 But I dont know if that modification will work for 3.7 or 3.8
Are they uploading the images or usig tags to show the image from another location? Check their profile in admincp to see.
Unforunately the sig limitations in vB are easily "exploited" by images larger then you specified. It is probably because they are using externally linked images which vB can't handle. Also keep in mind that if you make any changes to Sig limitations they only will apply to NEW users. It would go through any old users and automatically change their sig's to fit the new limitations. I think this sucks but it's always been that way with vB.
create a rule that they may not have signature pics over your size requirements. if they do warn, again, infraction, again, bann for a period of time. simple... really lol, they would be using a image from photobucket btw or tinypic etc..
