vBulletin Useless? - Why Can't DP Stop PM Spam?

    Is vbulletin such a garbage board that DP can't stop the massive PM spam that is going on here?

    What's the deal?

    I have only ever had like two spam PM's and I have been here for one and a half years now.

    Could be because they are going down the members list and you are at V. I'm not sure. But I keep getting these messages about some hacker who is stealing products and selling them on his site.

    Seems DP would put a stop to that.

    vBulletin can easily stop the PM issues and create a special post limit for sending messages, however Shawn is the main Administrator of the forums and it is only he that can make the changes. By the looks of things he is far to busy to pay much attention to this community at the moment, so for that reason nothing can be done about it at the moment.

    The best thing to do is forward the messages to a moderator or in your User Cp toggle your settings to block PM's.

    You can disable your PM if you are really so frustrated over a few PMs. Frankly I receive spamming PMs too but it is only like once or twice a month. Totally nothing to be so fed up about. Just forward to a Mod. For me I do not even need to forward to a Mod most of the time. By the time I read the spam, they are already banned.

    My suggestion

    1. Just forward the spam to a mod and delete it
    2. Disable your PM

    There are already enough threads on this. I do not know what is the search button for.

    Also it is not that DP cannot stop PM spam.

    No one can. The only way to prevent it altogeather is to disable PMing for everyone.
