Sorry if this is not the correct section, but since it is a forum related template matter I think it seems to fit in this section well.

I am currently working on a skin for a friend's website that is fixed. The templates have a fixed posting area in the thread / post display. Some of the videos and images that people have posted on the site go past the allotted posting area and obviously then cause the whole page to get out of alignment causing the tables to be off balanced and stretched....

I've been looking around on vb's site as well as some other sites and have yet to find a real solution to this problem. I was hoping being a administrators haven someone on this site may have experienced similar problems in the past and found a viable solution to resolve this matter.

In my mind the only two solutions that I could come up with for doing this are to either try and resize the post display area or perhaps add some code to add a scroll bar into the posting area if the content is too big for the allotted area.

Has anyone had a similar problem, how did you resolve it? If I could add code to adjust to a scrolling post area if the content is too big which templates would I have to adjust the code in.?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Why don't you just use one of the automatic image resizing modifications from www.vBulletin.org? They reduce the images posted to the size you specify, but give viewers to expand the image to full-size.

That's the only alternative I have seen used and I frequent very many forums.

It's already being utilized, the problem lies mostly with the embedded videos. I was typing fast and didn't realize that I had said images, my apologies. The problem even occurs in some areas with text... I think the skin was probably just poorly designed as far as the posting area goes. As of right now it's the only problem that I have not been able to resolve.

Thanks for replying to the thread though, I was disappointed to see so many views and no replies, but then I just guessed no one had any advice that could help.

Found the solution... I was doing everything right, just forgot that custom bb codes dont follow the normal settings, I had to adjust the replacement for them to re size the output.

Hi, I think I have a problem with time management. I have 2 kids aged 3 and 6, work part time, study and keep actively fit. When Im doing the things I really love I seem to be able to do them for ever, but I notice that loads of time has passed and the other things such as clean the house etc are still there waiting. Id love to have a clean house but enjoy my time doing other things too much. They are important things that keep me well and content.
