vBulletin Server

Hey, For running vBulletin it is always good to have a dedicated server. Dose anyone know where you can get cheap but fast dedicated servers from. I would prefer if their was someone who had one and could rent space to me.

    Obviously this person would have to have a good dedicated server with few web sites, forums etc on it. I would need someone also who is experienced in vBulletin, they would included in the yearly price have to;

    - Install vBulletin,
    - Install updates,
    - Restore a database,
    - Keep all the advance stuff running basically.

I would like a server that is dedicated nothing else. No sheard hosting. It would be for one vBulletin forum, and one forum only. From as around 40,000 posts over a year and half.

    Anyone? Must fit all requirments.

    Thanks,
    BlueEew.

If you don't need a complete dedicated server then you should go for vps hosting. VPS performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server. It uses its own disk space, RAM, CPU, IP addresses and it can be rebooted independently. In nearly every perspective you can see a VPS as if it’s a dedicated server.

Our vps plans are displayed on http://www.webhosting.uk.com/vps-hosting.php

Please feel free to contact us if you have any more queries.

Do you have to manage VPS hosting, or do you just use like any other regular hosting account?

VPS is bit slower than dedicated server and very much faster than shared hosting.

All our vps are fully managed, you can view our vps plans at http://www.webhosting.uk.com/vps-hosting.php

If you have any more queries please let me know.

Hey, if you would like to have a really, (I mean it) awesome server...

    ...
    ...

No I am not mentioning the plan here, lol

    ...
    ...

Please can you let me know how many users you have at once?

You see, I don't go about blindly posting offers, I need to examine your site atleast at the surface to provide you a perfect match, but still allowing you to grow.

    What now?
I can offer you is something, ranged $75+ (no cPanel) or from $85+ (with cPanel, so that you can host many more sites).

What do I get with it?
As I told you earlier, I wont mention the specifications, but what I would like to mention here, is about the service you would expect.
    Level 1 - Secure Server
    • Scan for vulnerability using SecureCenter ScanFI
    • Secure kernel default
    • Secure ports
    • Secure services
    • Secure root login
    • Secure sshd port
    • Secure Open DNS
    • Update kernel & limit kernel capabilities
    • Update Installed Softwares including SSL and SSH to the latest Version
    • Update cPanel to the latest stable version
    • Remove unnecessary softwares
    • Compiler / fetch app. limiting. (limits access to compilers)
    • Host.conf & sysctl hardening (spoof protection and basic ddos protection)
    • Php Open_Basedir Tweak
    • Install Mod_Security with massive custom rules
    • Installation of security updates by OS/Control panel Vendor
    • Compile PHP to the latest version

    Level 2 - Optimize Server
    • Install EAccelerator
    • Install ZendOptimizer
    • Optimize Apache
    • Optimize MySQL
    • Optimize PHP

Level 3 - Customer Requested Service
    • Install vBulletin
    • Update/Upgrade vBulletin
    • Restore Database

    Level 4 - Maintenance
    • Weekly full system backup (only incase of VPS server)
    • Weekly log checks - to see if anything is worng or not.

    Level 5 - Monitoring
This service will be charged separately, currently service is charged at $125 every month, with upfront fee of $100 (non-refundable).

    What I can guarantee you?
    - 100% Uptime, if you do believe in it (there are a few people who do not believe in having 100% uptime). My servers (personal) and my company's has never gone down for the past 9 months and 18 months respectively.

The pricing you have given in top part of your post, is that per month? This is important to me, I would probab;y no go any higher then $50.00/month for a VPS.
