My Site is 2 and a half yr old. The vbulletin forum is 8 months old. It has more than 20k posts, 5k threads and 5k members. It has a PR 4 . Still my forum pages are not indexed in google. I See spider guests on forum everyday, but those pages are JUST NOT GETTING INDEXED. Any way to get all of them indexed ??
If it's domainfaq - what did you do to the template? I've used the orange one in two different systems and it's great. Yours is mucked up in firefox. And have you got 7 lots of adsense on that page?
Domainfaq.net is just for Pass Time. I am talking about my MBA ONLINE forum site I dont use vbSEO plugin but I use a similar vBrewrite which makes the url user friendly. Any idea why forum pages are not indexed on google ?
Hmmmm, first thoughts: you have a link at the bottom of the page with massive anchor text. That won't be helping, break it into several smaller links. You have your CSS on the page and not in a separate file, vB allows that Your meta tags are spammy as anything. Good catch on the sessions, that will kill it!
As you might have realised by now after seeing the forum, I am not a webmaster. Can ne1 tell me how to get those sessionids etc cleaned and any other tricks so that those pages are indexed ?
If the session IDs are not being removed, the URL rewrite will be almost completely ineffective for SEO purposes.
Well, if you plan to continue using your existing rewrite, you should contact the developers to request a critical bug fix. Otherwise, you should consider the vBSEO solution.
I thought about that, but then dropped the idea because I m not a web designer and if there is a problem in my vbulletin, while I m uninstalling the vbrewrite and installing vbseo, it will affect studies of thousands of management students.
