It's under the settings for each individual forum. ;)

    Forums and Moderators->Forum Manager->Controls->
Default View Age (Default date cut-off for thread display)

no one can argue that there is a better re-write then vbseo for vBulletin
if you do argue your either to ignorant to know better, or to stubborn to open your eyes ;)

it's helped me tremendously,, if you don't use it that's fine with me,, actually it's better for me :D.. in fact Please don't use vbseo ! :D

Since you, nor anyone else, can see the code, any argument is subjective to your personal "feelings".

When we can see the code, then we can have this debate.

However, for now, I guess those of us that are successful without it are just "ignorant".

Either that, or just sick of trying to be sold on it.

Yes, possibly. The overselling of this product by the affiliates is annoying.

But consider this. In our little webmaster world, have we not seen a really good product sell itself by word of mouth many times with no martketing necessary?

I submit if the product was as good as the afflilates want us to think it is, it would sell itself.

But hell, what do I know? I stayed in a cheap motel instead of a Holiday Inn Express last night. :p

No company that is serious about making moneyis going to sit around and "let their product sell itself". Sure, a product should be good enough to sell itself, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't spend the time and energy marketing it.

What's this all about? What advantages would it have over just submitting a sitemap?

I completely agree. That's why I am soo sick of hearing how good of a product it is. If if's that good, it will sell itself.

It's not that it has advantages over a sitemap, it's just another method to get traffic and backlinks. Several blogs use the feed from threadtag.com on their blog which means every thread you submit gets dozens of great backlinks.

No need to have a script like vbseo as you can see how much well dp is ranked without it :(

Most people that buy vB are getting into the web as a hobby. Then they find out it takes work where they wanted instant gratification. Something we all know well and good is not how things work on the web.

So IMO the promises of all the possible listings and traffic resulting from those possible listings are mearly taking advantage of those that don't know better.

Take into consideration that most forums for hobbies have members that make crap titles to threads like...

    Guess what?
    Can you help?
    I got a good one!
    Look at this!

What in the world kind of traffic can be the result of those useless keywords in a URL?

So let me get this straight... My forum will do better by sending my members to your forum and putting links on my forum to your forum?

    How's that work?

lets not start a fighting match on yet another forum,, i see you've followed me around to a few now ;)

don't be suprised when DP uses vbseo in the future then ;)
you fully know that vbseo does way more then just CRUrls

It isn't a forum, it's basically like digg, but for forum owners. By submitting a thread you will get people viewing your forum that are interested in the articles you submit.

You want me to stop because you have not won a debate with me on this topic yet and I'm not a girl, right?

I can't wait for that day to come. I bet Shawn is working on it right now!
