I'm trying to find a guide to making Vbulletin have SEO friendly URLs. Particularly, I'd like to pull the Title of posts into the URLs, with - as spaces. I've been following http://forum.time2dine.co.nz/seo-vbulletin/search-engine-optimize-vbulletin-98.html . He actually uses it on that forum, but doesn't tell me how to make posts Titles as the URLs. If anyone could help me with this, I'd really appreciate another source or guidance. Thanks!
I think most people are using this one on DaniWeb: http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread12725.html There is also a newer revised version here: http://www.daniweb.com/tutorials/tutorial22840.html NOTE: I've heard people aluse to the possibility that this could cause duplicate content penalties considering it's dupe content. But considering it's under the same domain I'm not sure how much faith I'd put into that theory.
It doesn't help in the SERPs, in my experience. The only thing that it will do is allow the Google toolbar to show PageRank which may help you in some of the link exchange schemes.
404 SEF does exactly what you're looking for. Edit: -crap sorry. I haven't slept and thought you said Mamba.
