vBulletin Reselling?

Well, I recently got into reselling of inactive vBulletin users, and I was wondering, could I possibly get in trouble for it? For instance.. I buy a license for $20 (example ofcourse.), and sell back for $50 and it comes with Code/Pass/Security Answers. Is it possible I may get in trouble for it?

I figured since they are dead licenses anyways (cost $30 to add a year of updates to a license), you think it would be fine to resell dead licenses for cheap? Or will vBulletin not like that idea?

If you have something you wish to say in private, just PM , or contact my MSN at Kengeki@animekawa.com

100% Legal, I don't go near nulled stuff, thats dangerous for me. They come with the Customer Code, Password, and Security Answers to allow the buyer to change any information needed (Email, Customer Code Pass, etc.)

I don't think the licenses are registered on vb.org, but yes full access to vb.com's members area, the buyers would need to create their own vb.org account and use the proper license info. So it's kind of better in a way, they get to keep their display name on forums :).

I'll PM you if you want, but the forums say I need 25 posts and 14 days here to be selling stuff, not sure if I'd get in trouble for it. I'll PM anyways unless I am told not to

I recently read they can only be sold as "Active", so I might have to charge an extra $30 for the licenses, but the $30 will go fully towards renewing it on purchase, so you get a brand new year the moment you recieve the license. :)

It's not required to do that, but I believe it might be best to not break vBulletins terms of service on DigitalPoint, since this is a legit website. :)

I tried to buy one license from Kengeki. The dead licenses work once you renew it. And you can also change the contact information by creating a ticket.

I'll give you a +1 feedback once you get your account properly activated for iTrader reputation points.

Let me give some additional (general) information on this as there are some things said in here that are simply wrong.

    - Only active Owned licenses can be sold (ie. transfered to a new owner)
    - A license can only be transfered 1 time in a 12 month period. So buying a license in order to resell it will only work if you wait 1 year with reselling.
    - Giving out the access details of your license without transfering still makes you the official owner. This puts both parties at risk:
--- Current owner (seller) might change information at any time leaving the customer (buyer of second hand license) without a license.
--- The new customer might break the license agreement (install on multiple sites?). The current account holder would be held responsible for this and the license might be revoked.

Selling licenses by only offering the login info to the Members' Area does not give you full control over that license, will put both parties at risk, and the license agreement explicitly forbid this. The only way to do that is to Transfer Ownership.

Before paying anyone for a used license, we always recommend that you verify with vBulletin Support that the license is eligible for transfer. To verify we need the current license-id and registered owner name.

I`d go for one of these licenses, if they`d be renewed like Marco said.

    Hi,

i also need one... if you can get it verified by VB. and if it is renewable ?
    let me know :)

Please be advised that only active owned licenses are eligible for transfer, so you may have to renew it before it can be transferred.

    regards
