I just purchased vBulletin today (I've always used phpBB) and thought I was going to successfully run it on GoDaddy Hosting...boy was I wrong ;)

I should have looked into this before but oh well...

I know a lot of DP members are running vB on their sites and I would like to know what are some of the more reliable hosts that you all are using. Also, I don't really want to be limited to only 50 concurrent database connections at a time (GoDaddy's limit). :D

    Any help is appreciated!!!

http://www.liquidweb.com :) They are very reliable hosts. I have my own server running on there, and I know a very large operation also running on their servers.

if you're going to be running a remotely large, or even medium-sized forum, you'll likely need to move to a dedicated host. that will likely run you at the very least about 70$ a month, though around 100$ would be more common, especially if you want whm and cpanel.

if it's a small forum, most shared hosts won't work. it just doesn't make financial sense for them to keep you onboard.

if you've outgrown shared but don't want to jump to dedicated, look into a virtual private server. it's sort of an in-between.
