Vbulletin problems

I updated my forum to 3.6.7 and have about 120,000 users the forum is about 1 week that is updated. The site is really slow with 600 users online or so. I decided to move to a new server with duel cpu and 2 gig ram, plus 100 Mbps but the site still seems really slow for some reason. Does anyone know what might be causing this. Not running mods or whatsoever, when users are below 300 it seems ok, but as soon as over 500 signs in the slowness starts.

The url is www.neomicron.com just in case.

    Thanks in advance

url is giving errors at the moment.

EDIT: scratch that. url is giving *occasional* errors

Are you soak testing it with automated logins? How is it you have 120K members, 700+ active and only 800 posts

Does members have anything to do with it, because in the last 2 hours I got over 2000 new users that registered and over 1200 posts and replies.

Depending on your configurations & server and all that I guess a 1000 registrations an hour can cause at least some server stress.

How did you get so popular all the sudden, as that's certainly not the norm for any forum I've been a member of. (not even here @ DP)

Yes, it does... please check server load on your server.

You might need to get your server (apache/mysql) tweaked according to you forum needs.

$25,000 for 5 servers, $3000 for online marketing and $500 for 35,000 flyers but I have 5 sites altogether, so for everything altogether, they are not all forums, different things.

Something is really wrong with your board, for instance the members online hasn't changed in 20 minutes. Also clicking on dozens of random members currently online, they all say "Last Activity: 05-25-2007 02:15 PM"

Clicking "Todays Posts" shows 20 pages of zero reply posts and all having either 2 or 3 views.

I'd be getting a 25k refund, it looks like your site has been bombed with Ico-Content or similar.

My new site is just up 40 hours now, if you notice, still upldating alot of issues that I have, my biggest issues were when you login, the system says you are login but you cannot do anything, plus if you want to post it will ask you to login again. Vbulletin staff said I made a mistake with my database import and had to get someone to fix this issue, but he just imported the user info only. Plus if you check my site history it is about 10 years old the domain, and used it for video game forums and so on, then decided to change alot of things around.

Still I have alot of issues I agree, but should be done by end of the month, plus if you notice I have directory submission too, which requires you to register through vbulletin www.neomicron.com/directory/ and you see there are 1000s of links too, so if you are changing directory info system show you are logged in but you are in directory which is seperate then vb forum.

This site isn't doing a thing. I've got maybe 20 active people on my new site and I have just as many threads. Your highest poster has 6 posts. Looks like a huge percent of spammers to me. Your site is very odd. I would add in a No-spam plugin if I were you.

My advice is your vB is screwed. I'd restart. Hope there is a smarter vB guy around. Usually re-upload is the first thing they'll say.

ico does garbage, I am waiting for support for days and noone is answering.
I doubt it is ico, because ico does not creat users, could be the directory users to, since submitting to directory requires you to insert you vb username.

Im guessing he pirated the vBulletin license - 120,000 members and 2,650 posts? Doesnt seem to want to ask at vb.com for help? Just my suspicion

Ok, first, you need a dedicated IP.
Secondly, you need to disable the vb mod showing all those users online that you created.

Thirdly, you need to reinstall vb 3.6.7. It looks like you missed something.

Fourth, get a valid vb license if you don't have one. DP is not a forum for vbulletin.

You need to go here http://www.vbulletin.com or http://www.vbulletin.org.

I just finished an upgrade to vb 3.6.7 from vb 3.6.5 with no problems.
It took about 30 minutes, my users complained, but that's life.

This is why you do not do anything illegal with vbulletin or vbulletin modifications. If you have no programming experience and something goes wrong, your chances of getting caught are exponential, but that's only if your vb copy is pirated.

If it is legit, disregard this message.
