    How to set my forum so that only registered mambers with 50+posts to be able to send PM in order to protect the forum from spammers

    Use vbulletin mods for that. There are loads out there...

    create a group and specify there who every has 50 posts joins that group and can pm! Disable PM on other groups that you want!
