I am unloading massive levels of random scripts I have over the years. I have a 3.x version of vB for sale - Jun 27th '08 expiration. It is an owned license. I haven't transferred one of these in years so if you remember how to proceed with this that would be even better. Seeking best price via PayPal - PM or reply here for questions. Offers via PM. Thanks.
You cannot transfer EXPIRED licenses. That is unless you renew it. There is a 3 month renewal fee of $50. This will activate the license from expired for 3 months and then it will expire once again. EDIT: or you could pay the upgrade fee to make it a lifetime vB4 license and transfer it. Best thing for you to do is OPEN a support ticket at the Vbulletin members area. And ask if your license is transferable. Not trying to burst your bubble here, just trying to make sure you are doing it legally. I know if they find out you did an illegal transfer, then they delete that license and the new owner will lose their money and vB license. Contact them and get more info and they will tell you what you need to do.
It wouldn't be an "illegal transfer" the transfer could never take place unless the license was renewed.
It would be an illegal transfer if someone just gave you their account. Technically that is a transfer.... and against the rules. IB doesn't allow anyone to give out or share their customer number and password besides the owner. Don't think it's an illegal transfer? Go ask at vBulletin.com/forum They will state the exact same thing.
Correct me if I am wrong.Vb allows transfer of expired licence as per present TOS and hence you can transfer your expired vb3 licence without a renewal. Check this from the horse's mouth itself. http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?355684-Are-expired-vB-3.5.4-licenses-worth-anything&p=2001445&viewfull=1#post2001445 Code (markup):
Your right, I wasn't aware of this till now. Guess they changed the rules. Thanks for clearing this up! Appreciate it a lot.
