vBulletin - Mods for SEO and Registration

    Hi,

    I run a forum at Sky Blues Talk and obviously every forum wants more members and more posts.

    I just wondered what the best mods are for getting people to sign up as well as SEO mods.

    VBSeo for SEO. There's a free SEO plugin as well but I don't know the name. I swear by VBSEO though. My company helps webmasters build traffic and content for their traffic. We took a forum from ZERO real members to over 5000+ in a relatively brief amount of time. A sizable part of that success is due to SE-related searches made possible via VBSEO.

    I have read studies though that it doesnt make much of a difference for the money?

    I strongly suggest www.vbseo.com for your vbulletin seo needs ;)
    as for registration hacks, have you checked at vb.org ? they have a few registration mods to help ppl sign up easier.

    Also try to add more then just a forum. I would expand and start other smaller projects:

    such as maybe a blog or image hosting

    One hack, discussed in another thread, is the registered users can only see links. This means, if your forum has really good content, only your registered members will see any links; therefore guests will have to join.

    There is zoints SEO which is free, and like other people have said vBSEO. I would recommend vBSEO as zoints SEO is buggy and no longer updated.

    I have had good luck with VBSEO :). It is spendy, but in the game most of us want to be in the saying goes "It costs money to make money".
