vBulletin is raising the Prices!

I would never go to IPB, we get forums that are on ipb all the time and everyone is imported to vb
I don't think we even try to sell the ipb scripts..lol

 

lol the only free one that i would use is mybb maybe phpbb

 

I have also never really thought about IPB. I have never really tried the software.

 

I've seen the vice versa, where people are leaving vB for an IPB.

I just know we have dropped ipb for a vb script in a few of the crowdgather forums

 

Yes, It is too powerfull borad script, I am using it in my forum...... I love VB

 

I use vb also and i love it i hate all other free board things. Even ipb i dont really like them ethier for me its vb or nothing lol

Hmm more gas, or another vBulletin licence. I would go with vBulletin.

 

I believe that SMF is the best forum software. Security is unmatched by any other forum softwares out there.

 

Except for vBulletin.

never know.. if you have an extra one lying around, maybe you can give it to a taxi driver and get some free rides!

 

180 dollars is actually not that much for a good quality forum if it has everything. But the problem is you have to pay for the SEO package and don't you ahve to pay for a blogging and picture packages other kinds too?

Personally you have to have a really big site for it to be worth even the base 180.

 

It does have everything.

A blog and SEO MOD is not needed, they are extras. Blogs usually a seperate software like Wordpress. Also the SEO mod is optional and from another company.

 

yeah but you can't integrate wordpress into vbulletin for members. Also they picture galleries you can integrate, but i think those are 3rd party apps.

 

I think its a fair price. Only $20 more for the forum software. Indeed, they are leading most competition!

I would happily pay that.. i used to have an IPB license, it was just a pain to customize it to how you wanted.. with modifications needing about X-XX php file edits, then the template edits, then the database edits etc etc.. vB - Upload done.
