    Hello everybody,

I just installed VBulletin 4.1.2 publishing suite in my hosting account. I am new to it. I installed it under a folder named "forum" under the "public_html" folder. I also added a subdomain forum.mysite.com and associated it with the forum folder. Now when I change the Forum URL in the VBulletin Admin CP under "Site Name/URL/Contact Details" to forum.mysite.com and Homepage URL to forum.mysite.com/content.php then I am not able to sign in. In fact nobody is able to sign in to the forum. Am I doing something wrong. Please advice . Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance

Can you elaborate a little? when you say "I am not able to sign in" - are you seeing any error messages etc...

I just found out this :
    http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=923737#post923737

and according to this i first need to point my subdomain to the correct folder and use http://subdomain.mysite.com/install/install.php URL for installing vbulletin.

So I first created test folder.uploaded all vb files to it. added a subdomain http://test.mysite.comand directed it to the "test" folder and used http://test.mysite.com/install/install.php URL for installing vbulletin. During installation i see that the "Forum URL" and "Homepage URL" automatically detected was http://test.mysite.com . Now when I advance to the Admin CP after installation I am again not able to login with the details used during installation. I am literally confused. Please help me.

I was just about to post that this seemed like a cookie issue. Anyway, glad to see you got this resolved :)

Was also just about to say that you would need to install it under the subdomain or the location you wish to install it on
