Anyone can get a free vbulletin off a warez site but when someone reports you then you will be SUED.

 

not sued just shut down. they contact the hosting Co. and closed the account.

 

Well, I filed a claim with PayPal and reported him to vBulletin.
This guy Brae should definitely be banned from this forum.

Attention Everyone!!

I will warn everyone away from using Brae's service. I'm still waiting for a completed website. I'm not expecting it to happen at all.

First of all he gives me a warez copy of vBulletin to upload. I spoke to vBulletin about him and they claim that they have very few resellers, and that Brae is most likely not one of them because he can't even supply valid Licence-ID's. He then uploads an eXtremePixels skin, and I check with them and they say that they have no record of the skin being registered for my domain name.

Brae is someone that you don't want to deal with. Anyone who already has dealt with Brae, I'm sorry for you and hope things are better for you then they were for me, but don't hold your hopes up high that you will receive the full services that Brae claims.

I'm not going to promote SteveAR, or his thread, but I would recommend him over Brae any day.

Since Brae has not provided his services in full, in the time that he claimed he would. I have since moved my domain, purchased a valid licence of vBulletin, and I'm now waiting for the services of SteveAR to organise a skin, and possible ways of advertising and others he is willing to offer.

on the other hand ive seen steve here do alot of sales, many forums, thats how i know hes not a scammer

He has now been banned from SitePoint.

 

Maybe he means 2 days to run off with the money, rather than complete the sites. Already paid for one of his sites, as mentioned here and in another thread.

Now he responds with this, after I complained at paypal, and PMed him for a refund - he messages me through paypal, providing the login details all of a sudden. I do NOT want to do business with him,and requested a refund - then he sends this, I've never seen such poor ethics!

I do not want the site anymore, or anything to do with this guy - and will do everything in my power to get the money back. I recommend everyone who's done business with him and did not receive what they paid for to file a complaint - people need to know they can't just promise the sky and deliver nothing in any way they want

wow i knew it. he was doing what i had said . this guy is a joke and there should be a screening process or something for these types.

to the people talking about me. theres a difference with my thread. i actually am trying to help the people that got scammed and help get their forums up. i go out of my way to do a lot for the people trying to start a forum with me. so please don't just bash me and my intent to help.

if you don't need my help. then great. don't use it. but for those that will. i'm here. thats all i've said. people know i'm not here to scam anyone. thats the big difference.

 

I am setting up my own business focusing on setting up forums and the likes for people. Because all these people have already been scammed by this untrustworthy character my partner and I have decided to offer the following to all people that have paid for Brae's services and not received the finished product as a good will gesture to help us become established in the community.

I will install a forum software of your choice (You must have a valid license already if it is VB or ipb as I will not provide this) aswell as whatever hacks that you require on your forum (Obviously within reason I’m not going to install 100+ for free). I can provide hosting if needed and will give support via my company forum as well as help on promotion and content building.

All I want in exchange would be a review of my services that I could use for reference in the future.

BEWARE! Do not do business with this kid. After buying Chatwow over 14 days ago, complaining through paypal after not receiving it (all the time, while he was advertising it for sale still, and pretending it's his own site), he returns a message through paypal with the login and password to the hosting.

When I tell him I am not interested in dealing in such a way, he refuses a refund, and "threatens" a lawsuit (laughable at best) if I don't "comply". Here's the quote:

So get this - now if I "fail to comply" (no idea what that means - but the end of the sentence said "and get what you paid for"), which apparently means if I fail to take the site I paid for, his "company" will be taking action further.

I don't want the site - since I don't trade online this way, not when someone is 2 weeks late, while trying to sell the same site to tens of other forum members well after I paid for it. On top of that, he took it offline due to his rage at the fact that I want the deal cancelled after finding out he's trying to scam people.

Pathetic, stay very far away from this DPer. Also, Vbulletin licenses for $30, including his service at getting traffic and such? Naturally, a cracked version.
