About a year ago, I had to move my VB forum off my dreamhost shared server due to high CPU usage. They claim you can now have unlimited cpu usage. Does anyone run a forum on dreamhosts shared server?

I guess I'm afraid to switch back over and have problems, but if I can get away with it then it would save me a bunch!

I use Dreamhost, the server loads get kinda high, I seem to manage about 40 people online on average with the right settings. I havent used anything else to compare it to really, I like the company for the most part I guess.

I had a vbulletin running on Dreamhost, and I tought the serverload was high even when I was the only person surfing the board!

My opinion about dreamhost, is that they can be used for smaller sites, test developing, when you launch a new sites and don't expect alot of user over the first weeks/months, smaller blogs and personal sites.

For commercial sites, with hundreds and thousands of user visiting daily, go for something that focus on quality, instead of quantity.
