Vbulletin database error

    I am having a problem with my vbulletin forum that when i upload a pdf attachment I receives an email like this


    Database error in vBulletin 3.8.4:

Invalid SQL:
ALTER TABLE customavatar CHANGE avatardata avatardata MEDIUMBLOB;

MySQL Error   : Unknown column 'avatardata' in 'customavatar'

    That's coming from your install folder, which shouldn't even exist to begin with.

    according to the documents, the install and upgrade.php files are the only ones that "need" to be removed

    but I would remove the whole install/ folder to be safe.
