It posts all replies as the same username. It would take a mountain of code to get it to post a different username for every reply to a thread, as sometimes threads are 100+ pages long, and it would take even greater amounts of code to make it to recognize each username if it has posted multiple times, and attach the same username in your forum to posts generated by the same username in the threads. The fact that forums have 100's of thousands if not millions of members makes this feat quite impossible, and it would give the same impression if it was just 5-10 usernames posting all the replies, and it would give a much more confusing impression if it was 10-100 usernames replying, as quoted messages may be misconstrued and misassociated.

I can't believe how smoothly this transaction was!!! This (NO BS) is the best B.S.T. experience I've had here @ DP, the script was better than advertised, the code is very professional, and your response time is lightning fast - I would be glad do business with you again. I only wish that there was a little more information on the setup for other users, It took me about 3 or 4 minutes to figure out what my problem was - I had my vBulletin forum set to require captchas before posting - and it was causing the posts not to be posted in my forum. But that didn't have anything to do with your code, rather it was a configuration conflict on my end and was very easily fixed, the script is really fast, and it is working perfectly and making my forum EXPLODE as we "speak".

I have seen other scripts like this for sale on several forums, and even tried a free one, but I will admit, this is easily the best one that I've tried, and the price can't be beat. I really wish you would be greedy and sell this for $100 - it would be worth it for the SEO value of having TONS of content for your forum in only a few minutes work( it's not really work, just a few quick settings to fill in and BOOM! - instant content) and your forum will fill up faster than you ever thought!

i have some question that when the script copy the thread that dowes it copy all the replies of the thread and also with the same username that previous forum have or it will post the thread with my username and did this script also copy the user profile from the previous forum ??

Don't want sound like a idiot, but I mean to clarify. The software grabs new posts and thread from other VB forum and ads it to your vb forum with 1 user id? Does it know which forum topics to post under or you have to pre-determine that? I currrent have a smf forum, but looking at switching to vb soon.

@Andrewjoh2009: The script grabs with 1 username per session, though you can change it each time. It is not adviseable to be overwriting the files during the grabbing process. So you can take however many posts/threads, change usernames, grab again, repeat infinitely. The user must be a created username of your forum. You take posts from 1 forum (category, like for example the General Marketing forum at DP), and posts to 1 forum (category, same example but with respects to your forum) of your choice at a time, so as to maintain the relevance of the content.

My personal opinion is you will be happy switching to vBulletin, it is much better supported, has much greater functionality, and has a much wider variety of addons and modifications (such as this one) available.

We discovered the problem here was that thearticles was using HostGator, which does not support manual CHMODing of 777 to files. You must contact an admin of that site for such services. It is important to note that your server must be able to accept CHMOD777 to files (which is the web hosting standard) in order to run this script.

 

Small language fixup in new script - not major error, cosmetic only, and does not effect functionality.
