    ROFL. They are now hawking licenses on eBay like sleazy pez dispensers, so the infomercial how your forums are worthless without it is only a matter of time...

    On topic, it's incredibly easy to integrate adsense into forums and there is no need for an expansive post. If you've got an ad management tool you can just stick the code into the appropriate vb templates - I just stuck code into my header and there is another one in my forum templates in an appropriate area. Any of the products on this list will also do the job. Just consider how you want to manage your banners first, especially if you have more than just a forum but also a site to manage banners.

    1. You really do NOT need mod_rewrite with vBulletin. None of the major search engines (indeed no search engine that I know of) has any difficulty whatsoever spidering the out of the box vBulletin URLs. Look at this forum, for example.

    2. If you insist on mod_rewrite, there are at least two free add-ons at vbulletin.org that will do this for you:

    Zoints SEO has that option

    vRewrite and vRewrite Lite
