The site was upgraded to vBulletin 4.0.4 last night and I finished fixing all the issues related to that upgrade that I know about (missing images, template updates, recoding some plug-ins, etc.) If you see anything else that looks strange/out of place/missing, etc. use this thread to report it. I might have missed something...
In some capacity, yes. There is something I want to use it for certain that has nothing to do with how it works by default in vB4 (which means I need to built it still). I doubt I'll use the "Like" buttons that you can enable (I like my implementation better than the default vB4 one).
oh I thought that was the default "like" option might I suggest the opengraph option, that allows you to comment on as well I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, but just in case, you can see my example here. I have the little icons setup as well, wouldn't think you'd add those here, but the comment part is nice.
Yep... moving my implementation to the one you can optionally leave a comment with is on my to-do list also... Right now it's still just using my pre-4.0.4 setup for it.
Everything seems to be fine, I noticed there was 1 alignment issue but it was already reported by a user and you fixed it so it's all good. Good job on the upgrade
Started to work on it a bit... kind of merging some of the nice Facebook things built into vB4 with some of my own stuff. I have more content types I use the Like button for than the default ones vB4 supports, so had to build those out. And I also converted it to use the open graph protocol (although more so with my setup than default vB4) and XFBML... so we should get the comment option now on the Like button.
Any idea how I can make them wall posts on Facebook but not have them as 'recent news'? I don't want to spam my friends on FB, thanks for any help.
Might be you can have a Look at facebook dev forum I have done that on Publish to Wall on my FB Like Script You need to struggle with a tons of stuffs to get that work
