    VBulletin 3.8 has been released.

A lot of vb owners have been waiting for this release for months. It brings a lot of updates to the table. One update that I have been waiting on is social group ownership transfer. When a members creates a social group, and then leaves the community, the ownership of the group can be transferred to someone else.

It looks like each social group can be its own forum. So when members request that a new forum section, tell them to make a social group for it.

One change is a "Lightbox navigation." I wonder if the vb developers updated the lightbox with a slideshow effect?

Not to impressed with the lightbox navigation, I didnt get much time to play with it, but I couldn't find a way back once I switched to the community part of it without reloading the page.

I upgraded from VB 3.7.2 to 3.8 the day I started this thread. The update went through with no error messages. One thing that I really liked, all of my modifications still worked. Usually an update breaks at least one modification, but not this time. Not a single modification stopped working.

Yea, I'am not that impressed with the "improved" light box effect either. But its still an improvement over what they had.
