Oh yeah... if anyone notices any problems with Beta 2, please let me know. Right now I only know of one bug that wasn't fixed from Beta 1.
Could be just me being slow but is the short key (like CTRL+B for Bold) functionality new? Or maybe it just didn't work in FF before.
Dunno, I never used it before. It doesn't say anything about it being new, but since the editor was completely rewritten, it might be... http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142935
You can't use ctrl+b because IE binds it to the favorites for some reason (though in the advanced editor you can use ctrl+b). I think they may have just over looked this.
I love this new quick reply box! No arrow needed & it's got cool buttons. I also like the Ctrl-B, Ctrl-I, & Ctrl-U features. Very cool!
That is what it says on my browser (IE6, with all the latest updates). I think it is nothing to worry about though, because it disappears as soon as you click on the button to make you "quick reply".
logged in now on firefox and it doesnt say "null", nor do I have to click on the "quick reply " button to post in here.
The "null" thing was a bug someone already reported (and has been fixed for beta 3 already). I also went ahead and applied the fix to this install of beta 2 as well though. You don't have to click the quick reply button to use the quick reply (it's intentional).
I thought that was the case, just stating the difference betweent the two browsers. With firefox, I could simply type in the quick reply (as intended), with IE, I had to hit the quick reply button to remove "null" and be able to make a reply.
Yes it was there earlier - gone now. It even appeared at the beginning of at least one reply I read in another thread, presumably because the poster didn't see it and delete it before typing.
I like the new editor because the grey matches my styles better. Yes, I was too lazy to change the CSS. The new code is awsome to work with. I'm just pounding out new stuff.
[BUG]: The Google Search tag doesn't work anymore Shawn. Prolly same with MSN & Yahoo. Example: [search=google]site:www.digitalpoint.com[/search] It works until you put www in there so it makes it a URL first and break stuff up. [search=google]site:forums.digitalpoint.com[/search] The second one works OK.
Yeah I know... it's always been like that though (it's a custom tag I did), not a normal vBulletin one. I'm going to convert it to a plug-in when I get some time that way it can be more than a find/replace tag, so it should fix it for keywords with URLs in it.
