Remove the infringing material before you get sued.

What caused the copyright infringement? Is it a pirated copy of vbulletin or somebody posted pirated stuff on your forum? I guess you need to address the issue straightaway rather than running around.

That's most likely not possible without buying a vB license. It is the only way to get your vB licensed.

You could try looking for second hand vBulletin licenses in the BST forums.

You already know the problem very well, why are you asking for help. You used a pirated copy of Vbulletin, who can help you except yourself?

Email to them ask them if you could buy a legal copy so that they would not pursue the matter. This is the best way, no one here can help you.

Definitely you can buy from VB directly, so this is the first time you are buying from vb? How many other VB sites do you have?

Goodness, do you know Vbulletin is one of the strictest forum around when it comes to copyright infringements? Please do the right thing and get the licenses before you get into trouble.

Also do consider the development costs Vbulletin has to pay in order to develop such first rated forum software and take your responsibility into contributing for its further improvement.

If you can't pay why not try phpbb3 etc which is free and good?

Buy a copy from vbulletin.com and then add your current website URL in their database, which makes you a genuine customer from now and you can upgrade to the latest version using the available add-on's

    Hi

We always check closed sites to see if they move so that's not the answer.

You either need to pick a free board, (there are plenty of those) or buy an unwanted vB license from Ebay, I note there are two on there right now (but check with me to ensure they are legitimate first) . (msn ).

Your last choice but the best IMHO is to buy from www.vbulletin.com/order and if you buy a lease you can update for the same total fee to owned in the first 60 days.

    Regards

    Howard

Well , Now I know they really strict :( , no one learn for free .

I did not know that phpbb3 is free forum , please list all other Forum scripts here which are free or cheaper comparing to Vbulltien

The leased VB forum is 85$ and only one year license , it wont worth , i`ll be wasted money

phpbb3, smf etc are all free and good as well as easy to install.

There is a great list here

    http://www.opensourcecms.com/

Where there live demos for you to test out.

Piracy is no difference from stealing. If you can't afford it, use the alternatives.

    Item 190191291239
    Item 260203610214

Dont buy either until they give you some information to validate like the license number and where it has been used by them.

They have to transfer the license via vB support and must have owned it for 90 days prior to sale.

An owned license is an asset and I am not sure why people would buy a lease they can never sell if they cease use. Most cost effective route for cash strapped people is a lease $85 and update the remaining $75 within 90 days to an owned license.

    More info at www.vbulletin.com/order

One of the biggest complaint I hear about free boards is bad support and getting hacked. For instance free SMF doesnt have ANY support I believe.

If you are competent go free but if you can't do a search on Ebay for "vBulletin" I am guessing you should buy a license and have great support from vB. It has the best support of any board you will use.

For reference if you buy a license let us know and we can get you live again pretty quickly as long as the network have not blacklisted you.

You're running a priated script and you wonder why you got a dmca warning..lol
Start paying for your websites scripts and you wont ever have this problem again.

I can't stand ppl that steal script then act like they haven't done anything wrong.

I can't agree more, you need to feed programmers, need to run a company to produce a product like Vbulletin. It is really funny when you read his initial message, he never thought of getting a licensed script before that. Just asking for help and trying to get away with you.

True free scripts may be a tad more difficult to maintain and the mods to make it similar to Vbulletin isn't easy but at least it is honest, I use phpbb3, I am sure there will be updates frequently but at least I take pride in my small little web site because it is hard work and every bit legal.
