Anyone here using vBSEO (http://www.vbseo.com/) ? I was wondering, is it really worth it?

Im planing to start a brand new norwegian forum (Norway has 4.6 million people), and the topic of the forum will be marketing and webmaster related stuff.. kinda like DP, just in a Norwegian version.

So i was wondering, would having that script installed really boost my that much in the search engines? I mean, since Im aiming for such a limited niche, should i really care?

And if I should care later, can you install in later and convert all earlier posts? (No need to flame, I know I can just email them and ask - but since im allready writing this thread, and if someone who's answering my first question happens to know, that's cool!)

It's definately worth the money, however it's not going to be the difference as to whether you succeed or not. I use it on 3 forums. Every little bit helps and it does wonders for getting sites fully crawled.

Norway is not a limited niche in itself (look at diskusjon.no for an example).

vBSEO is very good. We've been using it at Hypography - http://forums.hypography.com/ - since around October 2005 and it has worked very well for us. There have been a couple of upgrade problems due to the encryption scheme (ioncube or Zend) but the support has been excellent.

And you don't need to update any old links, vBSEO does it on the fly for you (meaning - old links will still go to the same page as before).
