Does anyone know if it is difficult to install VbSEO on an already-running forum? i.e. Does it automatically update all the previous threads or does it only start from the new ones?
nope It isnt difficult installing VBSEO, it is really a cakewalk installation. I have already done that for many ppl, plus on my own forum.
It is quite simple to install, I have it installed on one forum and plan on installing it on a couple of others. It automatically updates the format of all threads, both old and new.
I guess it also requires you to install a php optimizer/obfuscator. I have a dedicated server with cpanel. How can i install that php optimizer/obfuscator? We have two options, which one do you suggest?
You just need to download IonCube, and upload it to your server/site root location i.e under www or public_html or htdocs thats all.
I was reading so much articles how vbSEO helps your forum to become bigger,so many people tell that their forum from 5 000 members has grown up to 20 000.Is this really worth because i am about to buy it...
vbseo doesnt help your forum grow bigger, vbseo will help your forum go higher in the search engines and maybe help your pagerank. vbseo is only good if you have a large forum and good activity on a daily basis. if you want your forum to grow bigger i would recommend ico-content
vBSEO provides search engine optimization for your forums. It is suitable for forums of all sizes, ranging from brand new forums to those already established with existing search engine traffic. The goal of SEO is to deliver more Web traffic, especially Web visitors that are more highly targeted to your content. If you define growing a forum "bigger" as more Web traffic, more members, and more posts, etc., then SEO and vBSEO will certainly help to make your forum bigger.
So u confirm that all that is writen on vbSEO.com is TRUE and they dont say it only in order to make money. P.S I witnessed that you are a PART of vbSEO.....
My company admins several forum sites and vbSEO does wonders for our traffic through search engines. If you are going to be running a specific genre forum, then I would recommend it as it helps the keywords you are trying to target pop out more to the spiders. Very nifty plugin for vbulletin that can turn your forum into a very popular one just by using its own content.
Im just curious to know what the people that currently use vbseo think about it is and if its worth the $150...
well i went for the free Zoints seo not vbseo i read up and both and vbseo is better at somethings but not others. do you want to spend 150$ when there is a free version doing more less the same thing? my site seems to be working well.. and its nice to see the results using free software
Yes. When it comes to rewriting every url on my site using a free, unsupported, undeveloped add-on it makes little sense to me.
