I'm not sure what to choose. vB 3.8.7. or 4.2.0.
My three forums currently runs on vB 3.8.7. Should I upgrade?

I'm worried about prefromance, higher CPU and memory usage.

There is nothing wrong with the 4.2.x series of vbulletin.
If you have access to that license, I'd definitely upgrade your forums.
