    Hi,

I am interested to know who charges VAT on their online sales and at what rate (under which jurisdiction). Personally I do not charge UK VAT as my sales are under the £67,000 limit. How about you?

I would start to charge vat though as one you go over that limit, your customers might start getting annoyed when you throw the vat on top

Well, it's illegal to charge VAT without the registration number thing (something I have only just discovered) which I guess takes a while to get the number. And naturally HMRC will loose all my data on a train somewhere

If you are based in the UK and have a UK registered firm you must charge VAT to all your UK customers, doesn't apply if they live elsewhere.

I am operating as an individual for the time being and am way under the £67,000 revenue limit. I find it all quite confusing though.
