hello, i would like to know something, does everyone in europe has that VAT number . Because some days ago there r people who were buying stuff from me by plimus, however plimus didnt confirm the payment and paid them their money back, sayin that they didnt write their correct information,i talked to a custmoer and told me that he is from UK and he didnt write the correct VAT "tax number" so will that VAT "tax number" affect getting my stuff sold? or it is normal to ppl in europe to have it? and there is something i want to ask ,is which is the best way to withdraw money from plimus? i read about direct deposit but it is only valid when you do have an US bank account, but i am not from US so i dont have a bank account there any one can help me how to get a US bank account which i can withdraw money from it from another country using ATM or whatever? because the fees of wire transfer is a bit high and will take much time thanks and i appreciate more information if you do have Cheers ,
No, not everyone has a VAT number, only qualified companies which are VAT exempted would have the VAT number. If they qualify, by entering a valid VAT number, a Zero Percentage Tax would be levied. Those without a VAT number would need to pay the applicable VAT which varies from country to country in the EU. As far as you are concerned, VAT would not affect you at all as a seller provided that you are not from EU. Plimus takes the trouble of collecting, reporting and remitting the VAT to the respective authorities. I am not from the US too. Plimus allows 4 withdrawal methods for non-US residents which includes withdrawal to the Payoneer Mastercard Debit Card, Paypal, Wire Transfer or Check payment. I supposed if you do not have bank account then the Payoneer mastercard option is not a bad option. You can use it to withdraw money from the ATM or use it online or instores to make purchases like a debit card. Wire Transfer would send money right into your local bank account. Check is the slowest method since it needs to go through the postal service and it may take about 1 month to clear a US check if you are not from the US. I am currently using Paypal to receive my earnings and then I would withdraw it to my bank account.
thanks for your help But can i use this Payoneer Card to withdraw from ATM ? or it needs a special ATM's that may contain USD or so? I mean that the balance in Plimus will be in USD but the ATM's here contain only the local currency. So will it get converted to my local currency?
You do not need a special ATM machine to withdraw using the Payoneer Mastercard Debit Card works like any other credit card / ATM card. The bank which owns the ATM would automatically convert the US dollars to local currency. Just make sure that the ATM has a Mastercard logo.
Thanks again for your quick reply. It's writen in the site that you have to make at least one withdraw via wire transfer. what if i don't have a bank account this means that i can't get the card?
That I am not so sure. I supposed the withdrawal to a bank account is to check if your details are accurate. If you are planning to earn money, it would be a good idea to apply for a bank account if you have not done so. You would not want to keep too much money under your pillow or even with the Payoneer card as I believe a holding balance limit which you can have in the account and besides the USD is always dropping, holding money in the account would mean you be losing your hard earn money every day.
