Anyone who is interested in stocks and enjoys writing about them should take a look at the ValueWiki Contributor of the Day Contest. ValueWiki is an investment wiki and pretty new, so they are trying to get things going by giving a $100 prize everyday for the best contributor to ValueWiki - running from 1 Feb to 28 Feb. You can find more information at the ValueWiki blog.
Phynder, thanks for posting about our contest! Yes, ValueWiki is awarding $100 every weekday in February to our best daily wiki contributor. March 1st we are awarding a $500 grand prize. We've already paid two winners. To enter, just login to ValueWiki and start writing about your favorite stock or fund. It's a wiki - anyone can edit.
Sorry charley - I can't answer that question for you - I don't run the contest. Go over to ValueWiki and ask them.
Hi Charley, ValueWiki currently has stub pages for nearly all US, Canadian, and Australian stocks and funds. You can go to ValueWiki and search by stock ticker to find a page you want to edit. We are working on adding more world markets this month, but for now, those three countries are what we cover. We've already awarded $500 so far. You can check out blog.valuewiki.com to see what kind of entries are winning. Thanks for your interest!
- Do I need to notify you after the Edit ? - Is editing a part of the fund sufficient, for eg I did FHYIX Fund Analysis only ? Does that entitle me for a prize or should I do the entire Fund ? - Is there a minimum number of edit's ? - Where is the Stock Ticker Option?
Charley, We can monitor all the changes here: http://www.valuewiki.com/w/Special:Recentchanges To win, a user's total contributions have to be better than any other user's, for that day. We judge the contributions by quality and quantity. But you only have to be better than anyone else that day, to win the $100. Some days are highly competitive, and other days not so much!
