ValueClickMedia - Suggestions, Tips, Feedback needed...

Discussion in 'Pay Per Click Advertising' started by Suri.CMS, Jan 7, 2008.

    Hi all,
I am trying to get into ValueClickMedia, if I understand correctly it's arguably the next best program to AdSense for many sites.

My site has good traffic (much above their minimum requirements), but it's a discussion forum. They rejected my application when I applied with that website. I have other sites that are not forums. But they are of less traffic. So I did not apply with them.

    1) All my traffic is from India. Are they okay with that or needs only US traffic ?
    2) Do they accept forum websites ?
    3) Do they accept blog websites ?
    4) Anything I can do to get into their program ? Should I reapply or mail to their support ?
    5) Any tips or suggestions or comments ?

Any guidance will be much appreciated...

Information on any other CPC / CPM ad networks is also appreciated...

They do accept if your site is a portal with a built in forum.

    Thank You.
Do you have any idea if they accept a website with a 'blog' as front page and 'forum' associated to it ?

If you have more content than forum activities, chance of acceptance might be higher.

Unfortunately, my highest traffic site is a forum. And they are not accepting it.

So can I do it this way ?
I have a normal website (not a forum) with decent traffic, but not very high.
Can I submit that to ValueClickMedia and get approved, and then add my forum website into my account ?
Is that possible to add new sites to your account (just like AdSense) ?

Unfortunately they review each site individually.

Until you have a hihg-traffic non-forum it's very unlikely you get in.

I got rejected for a couple of my higher trafficked sites as well but still have a couple sites registered with them that I don't own anymore or that have since bit the dust.

Anyone have another good CPM site I can try for a free hosting network? I've tried a lot so far but nobody seems to be making me any money with over 100k impressions.

Try your luck with TribalFusion. They only accept high traffic sites. Otherwise your best bet is with VCM, Casalemedia or CPX (Low rates).

Thanks for the suggestions. VCM and Casale don't take free hosting networks and I'm still waiting on my Tribalfusion app to be reviewed. I'll try out CPX as a last resort, end of chain filler.

It's not the next best program to Adsense. There are far more programs that are better. When I say far more I am not talking about 50 or so, I am talking about 100's and if not 1000's. The reasons why many people use ValueClickMedia compared to Adsense is that they are using it on their Entertainment sites/Arcades that don't get so many clicks and when they do they get paid not much for each click from Adsense, which therefore then makes ValueClickMedia a better solution.

VCM has CPC but it's eCPC based on your CTR not real CPC.
