ValueClick and proxies

Firstly, put this here because there is no pay per impression section!

Ok, so last month I had ValueClick banner on my proxified pages and made a fair bit but then someone on here told me I couldn't put them on those pages. So I took them off and checked the ad requirements and saw something that I missed ...

Cannot put ads on pages where you don't have control of content.

... so I sent ValueClick and email saying that I think I broke the rules and asked for confirmation and this was a week or two ago. I haven't had an email from them saying it's ok/not ok and they don't appear to have taken any money from my account.

Soooo, should I assume that they don't mind and put them back on my proxified pages or leave them off so that I don't risk my account getting banned? Anyone else got any experience with VC and proxies?

    thats just bad advise.
they do care where their ads are going to be.Chris369,takes them a while to respond to email.you can send them another one,but you already know what their going to say.

It may not say that you can not put banners on pages you can not control but like adsence and many other networks you cannot place ads on pages that contain porn, graphic violence or excessive language i think it would be a very bad idea to valueclick banners on those proxied pages.

I just had a quick look and couldn't see anything about putting them on porn sites etc.

I guess I'll just leave them off and hope they reply. Although I did send the email about 2 weeks ago and they say they reply within 2 days :/

I think there is some delay in replying your email. When I lost my password, they took about 2 weeks to reply to my email.

    So just wait and see.

ValueClick doesn't allow being on proxies anymore, I suggest you remove it.

Not even on the index page?

When you say "anymore" .. since when? Because I haven't been with them that long and they approved them both.

Are you sure that's because it's a proxy or is it because your traffic is too low?

So did they actually say "We don't accept proxies" when they rejected you are did you just assume that was the reason?

Because if they aren't taking proxies anymore then I should probably remove mine.

    Damn, doesn't sound good :(

Proxies are a waste of time now lol. Not many let you into their ad network and when they do you normally get crappy paying ads.

I just got a reply from about 2 months ago where I was asking for my proxie to be approved (it was already in their database) saying that it doesn't meet their quality requirements.

It had already been approved shortly after I sent the email which is odd. They really do have some support issues.

Anyway, I've still got my money that I earned through that proxie but they have now removed the site so I can't display ads on it anymore.
