what would be the value of this , due to google suspension and lack of funds to now run the server (runs on a dual opteron 246 with 2gig of ram) and the future looks grim or me to run it, i would still like to see it have a future..

We have been online for 5 years now, we have a huge reputation and known world wide and every age uses the forum. Here are some stats.

    Regards.
    Me

Minimum earnings per month w/ adsense: $2000 + (with basic intergration) and no other advertisements, so technically can make upwards of $5000+ per month if done correct, I myself am against advertisements hence why i only chose adsense.

Yeah, I would also give it a mid $xx,xxx range. I would say somewhere around $20,000 maybe.

why not just move to Y!PN or another ad provider though? I'm sure you would be able to make equally the same amount of revenue if not more through another ad network. Worth a shot if you want to keep it online.

i am not sure to sell right now but its a possability, i need to value it to sort out my future, anything in pounds is a bonus. You would claim all rights inc the domain, all licenses such as VBSEO and vbulletin and also contract towards server would be changed to you.

Pounds are not a problem but they will of course be equal to the amount the site sale price in USD, not a one for one exchange.

I would expect that the licenses would transfer upon sale as well as domain name and such.

Server contract I do not believe I would be interested as I use servers in UK . US currently.

I also believe unless incorporated, you would be fiscally responsible to pay off the server contract. I also have no problem paying you for that pay off as well.

Let me know as I have PM set to send email.

Recently there was a forum, with stats much in the same range, that was sold on another forum. It sold for $15,500 and there was a lot of improvements that could be made, on that other one. But I guess that, even though the topic was a little bit related, it would have lower ad revenue.

So I would say that yours is worth around $20,000, but for the right guy it could be worth up to almost $30,000.

Well if google suspended you, and 100% percent of your income was from Google, the value is a lot lower.

If you got suspeneded from Google, you will get suspended fro m Yahoo even quicker.

So basically paying for amount of users and traffic. Maybe $2k

If the new owner can run adsense on it then yea $20,000 should be good.

I can see from your page source that you have an AdSense tower somewhere, but I'm not seeing it displayed. You are also using the inline banner mod which I can't see either.
Are your ads set to registered members or something?

    Oooops.
    Thanks for the clarification.

Personally, I wouldn't pay 5 digits for any forum type website.
It's a fools paradise type of traffic.
You can have 200,000 members- but only around 300 are on at a given time, if you are lucky.
That's 300 Ad Blind members, remember.

Nahhhh- give me a static page with that kind of traffic, and use the forum as a nice side game.
Trying to systematically monetize a forum is a lesson in futility in the end, with few exceptions (like the ones that are about to chime in to say their froum makes them a ton of money).
Sorry for my bluntness, but its well documented.

well ragezone recieves 8k unique visits per day with over 100,000 page views.. at least 1% of those will see the banner. Our adsense clicks averaged 400 a day from the very first day two years ago.

OK- I suppose with lots of work, it could be a potential cash cow, but maybe you can help us out on the reason for your banning?
You do realize that someone would need to have assurance from Google that the site can be monetized with them through a new owner, right?

The possibilities would include email newsletter sign-ups, an RSS feed, and many static pages for that niche to go along with the forum page.

Forums in the right hands can easily be monetized. Also having a popular forums allow you to shape traffic. Imagine all the power that this forum alone has. With a few endorsements from shawn a site would pop out asap.

I use my forums for that...any new site i have gets traffic fast.
