I know a lot of dot coms in 1, 2 and 3 charecter are rare and are all gone. And the value depending on name and brandibility can be high for 3 letter domains and below. But jut wondering about non .coms. I know com, net, and org are the top 3. But what about .cc and dot .name and others. A few 3 letter .cc and .names are still available as of right now. Because new extension like .name, etc keep getting added all the time does the value not really matter much. Or any 3 letter is rare and worth taking right away. Thanks, ivnj,
With the regfee you'll be paying to register .cc's, it would be better to save your money and eventually afford to buy a three letter TLD. I know its hard to do when you see all of these $xxxxx three letter domain sales and you have this beautiful three letter .cc in front of you, but really, .cc's generally only have value when you develop them. If you MUST register a three letter .cc, I would stick with pronounceable ones (consonant-vowel-consonant) with the "good letters" suggested at 3character.com
Probably worth $0 to reg fee. I have a premium .name (its a person) with an OVT of 30,000/day for EXACT name and it didnt sell on ebay for $5.
Well in 2004 or early 2005 I sold purplechat.com on ebay for 5 dollars and 50 cents. No dashes and no spaces so even name only I thought it'll be worth more than 5 bucks. But nobody wanted to give me much. I couldn't even get a penny for http://www.insightfulreview.com/. I had a reserve and now I think I'll hold on to it. But at the time not even 1 bid so something wasn't right. Ebay-ians are just getting wiser I guess. But right now 1m9.org is still available. But 1m9 doesn't really sound brandable. Thanks, ivnj
I finalyy decided to ditch the .name and whole 3 lette idea and just went for something easy to remember. I went with mblite.com. Thanks, ivnj
