    Hi
Noted that people still but non- .com domains that end with .net .info which already have existing .com
For eg. dude.com is an existing site but people still buy dude.info or dude.net
1)What is the rationale? Are they hoping to scrape some traffic from dude.com?

    2) Also what are non-.com of big names like yahoo not taken? For eg. yahoo.info is available. Yahoo of small countries like www.yahoo.com.co www.yahoo.com.af . Maybe someone can get www.yahoo.af to do Yahoo seacrh engine for Afghanistan to catch Osama.
    Thanks
    :D

No it would be the other way around. The .com would be getting traffic from their established non .com counterparts. If you can get a .com great, most good one's are regged hence having no other option but to go with a .net .org .info etc
