1. I have access to several universities' website with domain such as .edu.xx (where xx is country extension) with PR 6 or 7 on their home page. If I offer a "sponsors page" as well as a deep linking page, how much do you think people are willing to pay for it. Countries are UK, NZ, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore. 2. I also have a .co.nz page that is providing free online learning facility. 2(a) What is the best way for it to get good decent links within 1 to 2 months? 2(b) Should I try to applied for a .edu domain, if yes, what should be the content on the .edu domain and how should it benefit the primary site? (The primary site is currently PR3) Thanks for your contribution and suggestion!
i don't think applying for a edu domain is a good choice. Only schools and universities have .edu domain names.
Extensions with .edu are slightly more valuable than normal domains but I doubt people will pay much for it. It depends on how much traffic you also get and .edu backlinks have lost value over time.
A .EDU link, like a .GOV is generally going to be more valuable then a .COM or .INFO or whatever, simply because those extensions are controlled much more strictly. Depending on how you set your links up, I'd expect you to receive offers of $50-$100 per month for a small text link. A lot does depend on the total # of outgoing links that you are going to have on each page.
but .edu is one of the best links, but they are either paid or they do not accept submission so easily.
.edu extensions are slightly more valuable than normal, costs more, but I think it can be worth the money...
