I recently paid to have my site submited to several directories. I noticed that alot of the directories are on the same IP. Is there any value in this at all?
Hello Dear, If your directories have same IP. Then google robot give less value because google robot count your back link according IP. Exp- If you have 10 back link bt same IP. Google Robot count it as 1 back link not 10 back links.
If they are on the same IP they are most likely the same outfit? You get what you pay for with this stuff. You might try this service: indexing and backlinks That will at least get you a few backlinks from decent PR sites.
It's much better to get links on different class-c IP addresses but it's even better to get links from sites related to yours, not just random link directories unless it's a quality directory that doesn't just list any old affiliate rx website.
There are only a few directories worth submitting to. Aside from that it is largely a waste of time regardless of IP. hope that helps, Nigel
If you have worked on same IP directories then its not beneficial to your website in ranking or page rank.
If most directories were from same IP than its gonna do more harm than profit to your website. Take a lesson from this and only use trusworthy SEO service or you may regret this.
Most directories back links have very little value these days. I suggest using alternative back link building ways.
Back Links are important but not crucial! You can find many samples online where you can see that web sites with lower Page Rank out ranked sites with higher Page Rank! And if you are looking for back links it is much better if you have one back link from site related to your topic or theme with lower page rank then from several sites with higher page rank but out of your theme! Never pay for those link directories! If you have too many back links in one or few days Google don't like that, and you have good chance to be in the middle of nowhere with your site. Also, it will be much valuable if you have back links from anchor text from other sites then from some kind of reversible back links site. One way back links to your site have a higher value then reversible links. So it will be better to write articles and send them to article directories, but also one by one and use unique articles or at least 60% unique. Also you can create a Squidoo Lenses and Hubs where your articles can be ranked very fast as you are using "the power" of those sites. Good web sites to send your link are mixx.com and propeller.com . Also you can participate at yahoo answers etc. (I am not affiliate for those respectable companies in any way!) No, there is very little value of backlinks from same IP. But it is good to submit in all directories even it's on same IP. Google likes unique IP link.
PageRank isn't something to worry much about if that's what you want. Since the directories are on the same IP, that's not going to benefit you much. Having too many inbound links from the same IP isn't good either.
