Value of an old Apple Mac

    Does anyone know how much an onl apple mac notebook that needs repair would be worth?

    it can be calculated as - the net price you paid - 50% of this value - 10% Depriciation - 10% repair cost ... approx you get about 30% of the total amount back... and it is never a good deal when we sell our some old things.. hope you agree ..;)

    i think condition of device is key element of price ,but i think 50% of market price is best .

    Go to Craigslist and ebay and classifieds to see what people are selling them for. Relatively speaking computers past 3 or 4 years old are boat anchors. You can't even give them away. (and they charge you to dispose of them.)

    If it is a G4 processor, the value is minimal, since Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) only runs on Intel-based Macs. Check out Craigslist for an average and post there is probably your best bet.

    Hi Log into ebay and click show completed listings, it then shows if they were sold and for how much.:)
