    Hello,

One of my sites is appeared in the hompepage of a PR8 website for 1-2 weeks. Do you think i get a permanent value from this? How Google treats temporary links like this?

It should help with getting your site crawled more frequently and maybe a little deeper for the duration the link remains.

As far as PR or link juice, once the link is gone, so is the juice.

You will not get any help in PR increase for this short period of link from PR8 page. link should be there 3-4 months to have affect in PR.

That link can only help you in crawling of all the pages in that perticular time.

Are you guys basing your statements on facts ?
Or just producing/replicating some google myths ?
I personally got a site bumped to a PR5 just with a sidewide link from a
PR6 (with multiple PR5 subpages). The site was linked for only a week.

of course ! and the site will loose it again after the next pr update.
Unless new links will link to it until then....the again the relationship
is always the same, 1 step down. You've got a 5 from the 6 homepage
alone, forget the internals, they count for nothing. 6 creates 5, not
5 subs create 5. I do it all the time just linking from a homepage like
this and every new site gets a 5 in now time. To stay a 5 the link must remain.
