Value of a PR5 link?

How much is a PR5 link to my site worth that has about 300 links on that page?

And when I say worth I mean compared to a PR5 link that has only 5 links and a PR4 with 300 links etc

See my InfoPool Article and the chart displayed there. You can download the chart and input your numbers and get an idea of the answer you want.

But remember this, it is widely believed that Google only reads the first 100 links on a page, so depending on where you link is listed on the page with 300 links it may count for nothing.

    thanks.

Thats really helpfull. I am about 40th on the page so it's all good.

I have 1 PR5 link and about 60 lower PR links to my site. I still have a page rank of 0. Should I have a page rank or does it take a certain amount of time before google works out the page rank?

Compar, I'm just looking at your chart.

Is it true that 1 link from Google a PR10 site would give you a PR8 rank?

yeah it would take a while.
its not instant n any case

    are you listed in google?

page rank is split between all links on a page, so if you have a PR 5page linking to you with 500 links, your not gonna get all of that PR5
its spread between all links on the page

That is what the study would indicate.

You won't see any PR until Google does it's next PR and backlink update. This is usually every 3 or 4 weeks. However, the backlinks start to help your page as soon as Google finds them -- usually 2 or 3 days -- even if though they haven't published the PR update.

yes I'm listed on google but it's just showing a 0 pagerank. I've only been listed on google for about 6 weeks so it's early days yet.

The more web sites I create the more links there will be coming back to me... so hopefully I'll eventually have a higher page rank. I suppose the trick is to have some pages on your site that people would actually like to link to.
