Just going through our portfolio, and trying to streamline a little and raise some $ for a major new project, sooooo... I understand that people may not be able to give a decent answer without the domain etc, but what would be the minimum value of a website/blog that is a Google news approved source? The site doesn't get much traffic, as we have not updated the news loads, but it would be VERY easy to fix (as it is Google news approved, any news item hits Google news, so long as its unqiue, of course!) The site has a fair amount of 100% unqiue, hand written posts. Earnings... well, we played with adsense, but then took them off, as the goal of the site was not for adsense earnings, it was to be a part of a news network, that we are not now going to complete, so this one MAY be going up for sale... I just wondered if anyone has any ideas of the value of a google news approved website, in the computer games and console games niche? It is: PR0, but not penalised, just hardly any backlinks! Google news approved source, any news posted hits Google News within about 35 to 40 mins max ;-) Each post gets into Google news, and it would be easy to get good traffic just by posting some news items each day... We are too busy trying to get 3 new large websites live, so don't have time to do this (working 14hr days as it is!) I don't expect an exact figure, just a rough guide based on the news approval...
TBH not a heck of a lot. Getting approved as a Google News Source isn't very difficult, you just fill out the application form and wait 3-6 weeks. The hard part is getting shown on news.google.com, not just being accepted as a news source. But depending on the specific domain name I would say it's probably worth $25-$100.
