Value of a directory based on # of submissions

I created a directory about a month ago and It has gotten over 1000 submissions so far, but little revenue ($3).

So my question is, what is the value of this directory and in general the value of a directory based on the number of new submissions?

Directories are valued more on pagerank, being unique, income, and # of pages indexed in G.

I have over 5,000 links already in Seek Bullet Directory...most of my income has come from featured site listings. I think submissions have very little to do with revenue.

Focus on quality rather than quantity. Also, make sure you pay attention to Google (PR, indexing, & SERPs). With so many directories now you will really have to be on top of all aspects in order to make any income.
