I own FishOntario.org and was wondering what you think it is worth? I had someone in my region inquire about it because they thought I was going to sell it very cheap, and they said they figured it was worth between 2-5k Is this realistic? I own 30 or so domain names, but have never sold one of them. Also, where is the best place to sell/ auction them off? (just realized this was in the wrong board, should be in appraisals, oops, Im a noob, sorry mods) Thanks! Matt
I can only see true value in this domain via End user potential. The .org hurts it for any type in traffic but could be developed into a nice niche site based up lake fishing in Ontario. I would say as it sits not much more than low-mid xx to a reseller.. more if you can find a suitable end user.. but 2-5k might be a little unrealistic.
I can see how it could be worth 2-5k, but even with its great potential (Ontario has got some killer fish holes) I think you'd need something developed on it before you could get that. As for my opinion I think its well worth the low-mid xxx, even though it's a .org its a great domain, very easy to remember and gets right down to the point basically.
