I have a site I have worked on for about a year, a couple of months ago I put adwords on their and it pulled in £65 in the first month and £100 last month - its in the stocks and shares niche.

I am in quite bad debt and need to get shut of it so that I can focus on making money online and generally getting things moving and its really hampering me, I will be able to play it off within a year from just working but I dont want to wait that long as its a distraction.

What would the going rate for a site as described above be? Its pr1 at the moment but I know that will jump when the next update happens as most of the links I have built have been in the last 4-6 weeks.

It might sound a little ambitious but I was looking to try and get around £2-3k for it, would that seem unrealistic?

If you have a few years worth of earnings to show you might be able to realise 10x month earnings, so that would give a top price of £1,000... if you're lucky. More likely to be 6x month's earnings if you have at least a few month's (6 - 12) worth of provable earnings to show and of course, reasonable traffic for the niche. With only a couple of months worth of earnings you are more likely looking at 3 - 4 x month = £300 - £400 max.

As already stated by mcfox, if you can provide a proof of income for the past few years, even then it won't get through @ 2-3k ..
Personally, if I would be the buyer, I would pay ( MAX ) 12 month income * 0.75.
